It all started in 2016. After the election. I was really distraught. When I went to sleep one night and what i woke up to were two different realities. I was learning to sew using Japanese fashion dolls.

Tailoring pantsuits. Keeping my mind off my anxieties. What could be any more soothing than a bright pantsuit on Wataru or Blythe even? I just don’t know anymore.

Completed in packaging

The intention was to perfect the Licca suit pattern from Dolly Dolly Books- DCR 2. It took many hours to sew a tinypantsuit. Not one was perfect and “Everyone is Different”. The exteriors are cotton while the linings are Dupioni silk or satin.

I sold a few of them, kept a few of the ones that weren’t bought. I stopped sewing them in August 2019. I wanted to go until the election until 2020. But politics is depressing and so I stopped.
